American Idol Judging on Looks??

I've been keeping up with the latest season of American Idol, and I've been finding that they are letting people go because they don't have 'the look'. I think that this is unfair to judge people based on their looks and not on their singing, when that is what is most important. WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS??

it just seems that they're making lots of comments about their clothes and saying that they don't know who they are because they aren't dressing the same way all the time. Like that one girl, she wore something really different every show, and they're like, "I think your having an identity crises" er something.
